Built around 1860, The Guesthouse was originally the home to John and Louise Stam.
During the Depression the house was sold at auction and converted into a boarding house. Done in the gothic revival style of architecture, the house retains many of its original features including the arched windows and original wood floors.

Currently owned and operated by Carol and Mitchel Brumsted, the mother-son team has lovingly updated the home while maintaining and featuring many of the home’s unique characteristics– painted stone fireplaces, decoratively plastered ceiling, faux wood painted doors and more.

Limewash paint highlights the original plaster walls, and the combination of modern and antique decor compliment the historic architecture while providing a comfortable space for our guests.
